Bethany Collins has been a houseparent alongside her husband, Gene, at Joy Ranch for almost 5 years. She is the perfect balance of tough but loving and kind. One might describe her as a "mama llama:" really sweet, but if you mess with one of her kids, she just might kick you.
In addition to spending her time raising a house full of girls, she enjoys reading, watching Superhero movies, and laughing at her own jokes.
There is a legend that says she is a ninja- the girls in her house attest that this is true.
Michelle Rash has been a boys' house mom with Joy Ranch for around 5 years! Ask any one of her boys what they would describe her as and they would likely say that she is a "mama bear" through and through.
On top of raising a house full of boys, Michelle and her husband also have 2 beautiful daughters and two dogs, Quinn and Cocoa.
Michelle has a relational heart and loves deep conversations, midnight runs to Wal-Mart, and is pretty sure she is married to Batman.
Kelley Bracken started her journey at Joy Ranch as a volunteer working in the girls' home about 3 years ago. She was quickly asked to join the staff as a part-time houseparent, and this past March, she transitioned into our full time Relief Houseparent position!
Kelley moved with her family from sunny California to the mountains of Virginia, where they own and operate My Shepherd's Farm! In between living with a pile of kiddos and serving as a house mama, she also wrangles cows, plays a variety of instruments, and has perfected homemade salsa!
